The Humanities Program will emphasize the New Hampshire standards through the development of students’ abilities to demonstrate an understanding of history as the growth of human endeavor in social, governmental, political, cultural (literature and art), mathematical, scientific, and technological terms.

The skills of reading, writing, research, hands-on application, and presentation will be the cornerstones of student activity. They will move from observation of correlation to demonstration of causality through individual, group student work, and exhibition.

The interconnectedness of human endeavor will lead the students to study humanity as the sum of all its parts. The fundamental principles of research and communication will lead to greater emphasis on more advanced application of these tools as the students’ progress through the Humanities Program.

Students will focus on human advancements in technology and the trades through their History and English studies.
